Homemade Hydrating Facial Masks

Keeping your skin hydrated is just as important as drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated and eating a healthy nutritious diet to maintain that healthy lifestyle you desire. You must remember to nurture and hydrate your body from the outside as well as the inside. Here are some powerful homemade hydrating facial masks that will help you keep your skin moisturized and provide that refreshed, radiant and youthful look you will absolutely love. Including these hydrating masks once or twice per week as part of your routine skin care will also provide you the best anti-aging treatment.

Facial Mask for Dry Skin

Cucumber and Aloe Vera Facial Mask: Aloe Vera is one of the best natural ingredients for the skin, it heals, hydrates and soothes the skin. Cucumber has cleansing and cooling properties that will provide the ideal freshness and elasticity to your skin. Blend ½ a cucumber (skinned and seedless) in a blender until you get a smooth paste, then add 2 tablespoons of Aloe Vera gel onto the paste and mix thoroughly. Massage the mixed paste onto your face and neck using your fingertips and avoiding the eye area. Keep the mask on for 30 minutes and then rinse with cool water and pat dry your face with a clean towel.

Facial Mask for Oily Skin

Aloe Vera and Orange Juice Facial Mask: Believe it or not, oily skin also needs to be moisturized. The blend of Aloe Vera and Orange Juice provides both that hydrating effect and helps absorb the excess oil from the skin. To give your skin that desired youthful matte finish, mix one tablespoon of freshly squeezed Orange Juice and one teaspoon of Aloe Vera Juice (gel). Massage the paste thoroughly onto your face and neck, leaving an even layer of paste for 20 minutes. Rinse the mask with lukewarm water and pat dry your face. You can use this mask once or twice per week to maintain that lovely matte finish on your face.

Facial Mask for Normal (Mixed) Skin

Avocado, Olive Oil, Egg White and Apple Cider Vinegar Facial Mask: Avocado is one of the best moisturizing fruits for the skin. It contains essential fatty acids such as omega 6 and 9 and it’s a great source of vitamin E. Take 1 fully ripe avocado and mash it into a smooth paste. On a separate bowl, beat one egg white very well.  Add 3 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar onto the avocado paste. Then, mix the egg white thoroughly with the rest of the ingredients until you have a smooth paste. Massage the mask onto your face and neck evenly and leave on for 30 minutes, then rinse it off with lukewarm water and pat dry your face. This mask will help keep that necessary hydration on your face and provide both a refreshed and youthful looking skin.
